Acupuncture  is a discipline that has been taught through the ages as a method to completely address your health. Eastern traditions are more holistic in recognizing the elements and the body as an organic and balanced system. The most common understanding of acupuncture is the placement of tiny needles  along the meridians of your body to help keep your life force strong and flowing properly.

These needles are not syringes as we see commonly in western medicine. They are tiny instruments (known as filiform) and typically do not cause discomfort, certainly not that level of pain we think of when we hear the word "needle." Occasionally a treatment will draw your attention or energy to a point on the body that is out of balance and the entire process is a communication between your body and your acupuncturist to achieve proper balance. Amazing results come from regular treatments to keep the body tuned up and also from treating chronic or particular issues.

Many clients find the treatments completely therapeutic and relaxing - more like a massage appointment than a medical appointment. Rest assured your body is responding deeply with healing and rejuvenation.
